Dan is the industry expert behind Hitchcock Farms’ insights on produce quality, market trends, and the fresh produce industry. His perspective is grounded in more than 25 years of experience, beginning in quality assurance and spanning sales and marketing across the organic, specialty, and conventional produce sectors. He has worked with independent operators as well as regional and national chains throughout North America and abroad.
As Vice President of Sales at Hitchcock Farms, Dan oversees all aspects of the company’s sales department. He joined Hitchcock Farms in 2019 after building a successful career in the produce industry, including serving as Director of Sales at Earthbound Farms and leading sales teams at Pride of San Juan, where he spent ten years in salad, fruit, and vegetable sales and marketing.
Dan began his career as a quality assurance inspector in the early 1990s, giving him a firsthand understanding of produce quality that continues to inform his work today. He remains passionate about premium-quality vegetables, market quality and value, and the role healthy, sustainable food plays in creating better experiences.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys playing golf and tennis and traveling with his wife to their favorite spot in Hawaii.
